Nearly 40 years ago, The Lost Boys transformed Santa Cruz into Santa Carla. Ever since, fans have kept its spirit alive.
Now it's our turn to give something back.
Created by original Frog Brother Jamison Newlander and Santa Cruz native Jennifer Otter Bickerdike, One of Us is a grassroots, DIY community project celebrating the film, the town and the people who made both unforgettable.
This isn't a corporate event. There are no big studios behind it. Just two people who love The Lost Boys, believe Santa Cruz deserves to be celebrated, and want to build something special — with the community, not just for it.
That's why we're asking everyone to get involved.
Whether you were part of the film, grew up in Santa Cruz, have stories or photographs to share, own memorabilia, run a local business, make art, want to volunteer, sponsor the festival or simply have a great idea, we'd love to hear from you.
Our goal is simple: create a festival that feels authentically Santa Cruz — shaped by the cast, crew, local community and the fans who have kept this film alive for generations.
Together we'll celebrate the music, the filming locations, the stories, the people and the enduring legacy of The Lost Boys.
Because this festival belongs to all of us.
