Calling All Lost Boys Artists!

For nearly forty years, The Lost Boys has inspired artists, photographers, filmmakers, musicians and fans around the world. Now it’s your turn to become part of its story.

Throughout October, we’re transforming Hotel Paradox into the home of the inaugural One of Us Community Gallery—a month-long celebration of the creativity, passion and community that have kept The Lost Boys alive for generations.

Whether you paint, draw, sculpt, photograph, create digital art, costumes, props, mixed media or something completely unique, we’d love to see your interpretation of the world of Santa Carla.

Professional artist? Brilliant.
Weekend hobbyist? Amazing.
Never exhibited before? We’d still love to hear from you.

If The Lost Boys has inspired you, this gallery is for you.

A Hotel That’s Part of Lost Boys History

There’s no better place to celebrate The Lost Boys than somewhere that’s already part of its story.

Today known as Hotel Paradox, the hotel was the Holiday Inn Santa Cruz during the filming of The Lost Boys in 1986. Much of the cast and crew called it home during production, making it a fitting place to celebrate the film’s enduring legacy nearly forty years later.

Bringing the community back to one of the film’s original homes feels like the perfect way to begin what we hope will become an annual Santa Cruz tradition.

More Than an Exhibition

The One of Us Community Gallery is about much more than displaying artwork.

It’s about bringing fans together, celebrating the lasting legacy of The Lost Boys, and showing that the passion for this film is as strong today as it was nearly forty years ago.

Every submission helps tell a bigger story—that this incredible community is alive, thriving and ready to help build something lasting.

Our dream is to create an annual One of Us: A Lost Boys Festival in Santa Cruz, the town where it all began, and every artist who takes part becomes part of that journey.

We’re not just celebrating the past. We’re helping build the future.

What Happens After October?

While the exhibition at Hotel Paradox will come to a close at the end of October, we hope this is only the beginning.

Selected artwork will continue to be showcased in the online One of Us Community Gallery, allowing fans around the world to enjoy and discover the amazing creativity of our community throughout the year.

As the festival grows, we’ll continue building this gallery, adding future exhibitions, artist features and community stories. We hope it becomes a living archive celebrating the artists who helped shape One of Us from the very beginning.

Help Build the Festival

One of Us isn’t something we’re creating for the community.

It’s something we’re building with the community.

Every artwork submitted, every memory shared, every event attended and every person who spreads the word helps demonstrate that The Lost Boys still inspires people around the world—and that Santa Cruz is the perfect place to celebrate that legacy.

Whether you’re contributing a painting, volunteering, sharing your memories or simply cheering us on, you’re helping write the next chapter.

This October is just the beginning.
Let’s build it together.
